Waitapu Group’s School Road Publishing has purchased the iconic magazine title North & South.

School Road Publishing officially takes over the printing of the June issue and content development from the July issue. Konstantin Richter, who purchased the title when Bauer Media closed in 2020, was looking for a locally owned publishing house that not only recognised the legacy of the publication but would have the vision to take the brand to its next era of growth and success.

“In the summer of 2020, my wife and I agreed to take on North & South” says Konstantin Richter, “We had incredibly talented people working for the magazine and we are proud of what we did over the past two-and-a-half years.  But increasingly we felt it was time to move on.  We’re happy that this iconic magazine, North & South, is now in the hands of a New Zealand publisher with an extensive network and the commercial acumen to take it to the next level.”

School Road Publishing is delighted to take the reins of this well respected heritage title.  With access to the Waitapu Group’s resources through School Road, North & South will be well positioned to grow the subscriber base, reach new audiences and build the brand’s digital and multi-media presence.

HYPER NZ announces new media partnership with Briscoe Group.

The partnership will see HYPER NZ deploy custom designed 65” digital screens across 90 Rebel Sport and Briscoes Homeware’s stores to reach more than 10 million shoppers annually.

Traditionally owned media was only sold to vendors within the retailer’s trade marketing supplier base, but Hyper bring a whole stream of new incremental revenue to their retail partners by selling and offering slots on these screen to aligned brands that will be interested in this footprint, audience and the opportunity to reach them in a relaxed space, with a high dwell time.

Briscoe Groups Chief Operating Officer, Andrew Scott, said: “We’re delighted to be partnering with HYPER. The deployment of a digital screen network will provide a compelling communications platform. This will be available to our existing suppliers and also new external advertisers, adding a modern and dynamic experiential layer to our store environments.”

Get in touch with Hyper if you’re looking for a new channel to build reach outside of the traditionally cluttered digital space.
